Events may only begin after the close of public Library hours. Friday and Saturday events may start at or after 5pm. All events must end by midnight on all days. Sunday – Thursday event availability is limited and events these days require additional approval.

General Information

  • To add an hour of time for a ceremony, the fee is $1,000. A ceremony may only be added when booking a reception.
  • To extend an event, the fee is $1,000 per hour. All events must end at or before midnight.
  • A specific date may be held without a deposit or contract for up to seven (7) calendar days with no obligation.
  • To secure  a date, we require a signed agreement and 50% deposit. The remaining balance will be due 60 days prior to the event.
  • If you are a Johns Hopkins full time employee/student, alumni or active military please contact the Private Events Office for a special Saturday rate.
